...one week in india

i am beyond words....

my whole reality has changed 100%

the food i eat..

the people i see...

the language,

the trees, the birds, the sky, the smells..even me.....

a little about where i am currently....

in a place called Bodhgaya, India. in the state of Bihar, which is known to be one of the poorest in the country...

but im lucky to be in a small pocket of peace compared to the rest of the country...

i am writing to you 200 meters from where Buddha attained enlightenment...

this small town is a mecca for Buddhists and non and i can say for sure there is an amazing energy here that

i cannot describe. there is a temple for every asian country...

i am humbled to be allowed to experience life here...

The local people still pump their own water, milk their own cows, most have 8-12 brothers and sisters...

they work hard...haggling tourists...plowing fields with ox..carrying me around on their bicycle rickshaw, they build their own houses, cook in earthen stoves....self sufficient but will not put down their cell phone...

its hot & humid...thank you Okinawa for preparing my body for this...

i have started my study at Bodhichitra Thangka painting school where i study with 8 other students. The two teachers are local, one french lady student, other kids are local kids between the ages of 14-20...they are so pure..

one week into it and i must say i love it. i study monday- saturday 9-5.

the rest of the time i spend enjoying the temples and drinking chai :P

So thats just 10% of it.

But I felt the need to share because you all are the energy that carried me here.

I am so thankful for everyone that helped me start this journey with your kind advice, donations, purchasing artwork and tshirts...

and by simply encouraging me to follow my dream.

its only been a week...but im getting my mind blown from so many different directions already...

ive yet to process everything...but ill keep yall updated...
